Start Your Dental Care with Confidence and Clarity
Walking into a new dental office comes with a fair amount of uncertainty, so we try to remove as much of it as possible. Your first appointment starts with a conversation rather than a procedure. We ask what brought you in, what has worked or not worked for you in the past, and whether anything about dental visits makes you uneasy. From there, we take digital images, complete a full exam including an oral cancer screening, and show you what we find on screen so nothing gets explained in terms you cannot picture.
Once the exam is complete, we talk through what your mouth actually needs and in what order. If everything looks healthy, that conversation is short and we get you scheduled for your next cleaning. If treatment is recommended, you will understand why, what the process involves, and what your options are before any decision gets made. Our team in Winterville treats the first visit as the beginning of a long relationship, and you will never feel pushed toward treatment you are not ready for.

Dr. Kaitlyn Spencer
DMD
Dr. Kaitlyn, our practice owner and dentist, brings compassionate, family-focused care to every patient she sees. A proud Ayden, NC native, she graduated from D.H. Conley High School before completing her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and earning her dental degree from East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine. She’s an active member of the North Carolina Dental Society and the East Central Dental Society.
Since joining our Winterville practice in July 2019, Dr. Spencer has loved building lasting relationships with patients across our community. Outside the office, she cheers on the Tar Heels and Braves with her husband, Trevor, their two children, and their dog, Chipper.
